How is YOUR life?

This is a question that no-one else can answer for you. It’s so personal that you may go to great lengths to keep it hidden from the closest people around you, but you cannot keep it hidden from the One who searches the deepest and darkest areas of your heart.

So ask yourself, is your life just and fair or is it full of lies and deceit? Is it a success or a failure, stressful or stress-free? Are you saved or lost, judgemental or forgiving, loving or bitter? What about greedy or kind, selfish or charitable, proud or meek,  at peace or in a battle, in bondage or porn-free and the list goes on …….

Here’s what James 4 14 says   Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail!

The Bible study, the prayer time, the meditation, your relationship with Jesus, everything that you did yesterday is to prepare you for the battle that you will face today with Pornography.

It’s all down to what matters most to you.  It’s your time, it’s your choice,  your future and your eternity that’s at stake.

Don’t let your Guard down!

As the holiday season rapidly approaches, many of us will start to switch off from our normal hectic lifestyles and focus on the holiday that we’ve saved and worked hard for all year.

This year we were fortunate enough to get away to the beautiful country of Croatia and it was there that the Lord showed me that the more we chill-out and the more relaxed we become, the enemy is more determined to take us out.  He will know better than you how far you have dropped your guard by what you look at and linger over. How devoted you are to reading your bible and spending time with Jesus in prayer.  Most of us get a break away somewhere between 7-14 days and this is ample time for him to break your spirit and your relationship with Jesus forfeiting your place in eternity.

Your enemy is patient, so don’t hand him the golden opportunity he has being waiting for all year.  Be vigilant, be alert, be sober and stay spiritually awake for he prowls around like a lion seeking only those whom he may devour.

The beaches, bars, clubs and resorts will be filled will half naked women compromising their self-respect, dignity, morality and purity for your attention. So don’t be letting your guard down this year. Question every ungodly thought that comes into your mind, every ungodly motive and every ungodly suggestion  Every demonic attack is the perfect opportunity for you to invite the Lord in and to strengthen your weak position.

Jonah the Whale and Pornography

The account of Jonah and the whale has been called a story, a dream, a fairy tale, a fiction, a legend, myth and a vision. But there are serious lessons that can still be learned from it for a man trapped in pornography.

Jonah the prophet had been given a task to do by God.  He was told to go to Nineveh and preach against the wickedness of the Assyrians.  However, Jonah was stubborn and rebellious towards God and did just the opposite of what he was told.

Without going into great detail, Jonah ended up inside the belly of a whale, a type of physical and spiritual prison without bars, guards or daylight. Jonah’s body would have been greatly affected from the heat, digestive juices and festering dead fish in the belly and his soul was trapped in a living hell.

No programme, no course, no counselling, no ministry, no prayer deliverance, no book, trick nor gimmick was going to get Jonah out of this prison.  It finally happened when GOD decided to open the whales mouth to release it’s captive.

But it wasn’t before Jonah cried out and prayed out of his affliction in Chapter 2 that the Lord responded to his hopeless situation.

Maybe your life feels the same way.  You know that God is calling you, prompting you and leading you into a greater experience to do something for him, but you resist every opportunity and do your own rebellious thing by watching pornography.  So you leave God no choice. The only way that God can get your attention is to trap you in the belly of the thing that you are running to Numbers 11, 19-20 with no way out.

Make the time to read and meditate on the book of Jonah again. Learn from the lessons: that no man can run or hide from God; a selfish and disobedient servant will be corrected by God; God can save a man from death and hell; and a wicked nation will be judged by God.

Jonah repented before God and the city of Nineveh was saved. Who is waiting on you to repent? Who could be saved? Who could be set free? Who could be spared if you were to cry out to God right now from the belly of your whale.
