The Moabite festivals (Numbers 25) which lured Israel away from God were nothing more than sex, drugs and rock n roll at its most depraved. For this was state sponsored church endorsed corporate worship for all the family to get involved in.

Worship always consisted of vibrating, pulsating music whipping people up into a frenzy of sexualised dancing. Singing songs/ (hymns to Satan) drunken orgies, group sex, swinging, visiting temple prostitutes, child sacrifices/abortion, deviant sexual practices, fetishes/ perversions, open drug abuse, self-harming and so much more we couldn’t even being to imagine, all carried out in the open on public display and met with full approval.

The Moabite festivals would make Woodstock, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland look like Boy Scout jamborees. The cult high priest would make Marilyn Manson look like a choir boy in drag the cult prostitutes would make Gaga, Cyrus, Rihanna,, Kesha, Manaji and the rest look like a bunch of misbehaving nuns.

After spending 40yrs with God in the wilderness.this is what finally lured Israel away. You would think that the closer Israel got to the promised land, a type of heaven, the holier they would become, filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation of what lay ahead  but sadly we know that this wasn’t the case.

The Bible clearly records that these practices were eagerly adopted by the Israelites. It would be hard to imagine believers embracing that lured lifestyle today now that we are getting ready to move into our promised Land.
